Main Library Renovation Update
The Main Library’s renovation continues on
schedule. Interior demolition has been completed
in the western portion of all three building
levels. Concrete walls by the east area well have
been installed, and work has begun on the
reconfiguration of the entry ramp.
While the Library remains in service,
work will be performed in two phases,
including selective demolition, hazardous
material abatement, new mechanical/
electrical/plumbing equipment and
systems, and new finishes. Major new
architectural elements will include a
monumental staircase in the central area
and new openings to allow for sight lines.
Exterior work includes repairs to the
existing masonry façade, and roofing.
