Initially, I came to the U.S. as a student to
pursue my degree in interior and architectural
design at Kent State University. I picked the
Cleveland area as my destination because my sister
lived here, and I wanted to be close to my family.
I picked Shaker Heights for my home because of its diverse
community and walkability and because I appreciated the City’s architecture.
I am extremely happy I picked Shaker Heights as a place to settle
down, and for the past nine years I have only grown to love it more and
more. Shaker really turned out to be what I hoped it would be. I enjoy
the convenience of the Rapid line and having transportation options
beyond a personal vehicle.
I also very much enjoy the unique and plentiful dining options
in the area from the wonderful restaurants of Shaker Square and
Larchmere to the Van Aken District, which is right outside my door.
Shaker is also a close-knit, vibrant community. I absolutely love the
fact that the City facilitates many opportunities for its residents to
interact in various venues and events and the fact that many residents
actively participate.
I am extremely
happy I picked
Shaker Heights as
a place to settle
down…I have only
grown to love it
more and more.
