We offer flexible scheduling.

Also, there is a special section dedicated
to Adult Learners with GED, the USCIS
citizenship tests, and academic skills.
VetNow has many of the same helpful
features as JobNow but is designed
for veterans to help them transition from
military to civilian life. The site can be
used by family
members as well
to find resources
for veterans’
benefits,
employment,
education,
housing, and
healthcare through the Live Veteran
Navigator. The Live Job Coaching section
helps veterans amend a resume from
military to civilian. In the Resume
section, veterans can upload their
resumes and get feedback.
The Library also offers a collection
of career and business books, an inviting
space with free Wi-Fi, long tables to spread
out on, a work environment away from
home, and helpful information from
reference librarians, all free of charge.
Whether newly out of high school, college,
or the military, or pursuing a career
change, a Shaker Library card can be just
the ticket to leverage your job search and
transform your life, and the return on
investment is, as they say, priceless.
The Community
is Counting on You!
Have You Been Counted? The 2020 Census
asks only a few questions, all of which are
kept confidential, and the return on that
small investment of time will make a big
difference to our community for the next
10 years.
Every ten years the federal
government counts everyone living in
the U.S., and that number impacts the
federal funds that communities receive for
critical programs and services for schools,
students, and younger children.
Some of these vital services include
special education, Head Start, after-school
programs, classroom technology, food
assistance, reduced-price school lunches,
and maternal and child health programs.
