Meet Shaker resident and Adoption Network Cleveland founder Betsie Norris,
whose adoption story and efforts to open adoption records in Ohio were the basis
for Jean Strauss’ short documentary. Following the film, Norris will speak about her
personal experience and current adoption laws and policy in Ohio.
Muslim Rescuers of Jews during the Holocaust

Fern Levy of the Anne Frank Moral Courage Project will discuss examples of bravery
and compassion when Muslims in Paris, North Africa, and Albania saved hundreds of
Jews from the Nazis.
From the Voice of a Slave: Ohio and the Underground Railroad

Learn about the historic escape system when Deborah Abbott presents an exciting
slave reenactment. Learn about the efforts of black and white men and women who risked
