No registration is required for Story Time programs; however, groups of six or more are asked to call ahead to check for space availability. 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten: Shaker Library and 1000 Books Foundation invite you to participate in a free program which encourages you to read 1,000 books with your child before he or she starts kindergarten. Read with your child and keep track of the books you share. For every 100 books shared, visit Shaker Library and receive a special certificate.
