at the Library
Enjoy knitting or crocheting? Stuck on a
project or need some hands-on help with
a specific stitch? Experienced knitters
and novices are welcome to share tips and
techniques under the helpful hands of
experienced knitters, Elfriede Heaney and
Fern Braverman. Pick your time and place.
10 am-noon Wednesdays, October 1,
November 5, December 3 at Main Library.
7- 8:45 pm Wednesdays, October 15,
November 19, December 17 at Woods Branch.
English as a Second Language
A free program for those seeking to read and
speak English meets every Tuesday from
7-8:30 pm on the second floor of the Main
library. No registration is necessary.
Friends of the Shaker Library Co-Presidents, Nancy
Longman and Christine Bretz, welcomed author David
Oliver to the annual meeting.
Friends Elect Officers and Plan Fall Book Sale
Friends of the Shaker Library elected its officers for the 2014-2015 fiscal year at its annual
meeting in June and then welcomed Facebook sensation and author David Oliver, chief of the
Brimfield (Portage County) Police Department, who is currently at work on a book for children.
His appearance and proceeds of the book go to the Chief Oliver Foundation.
