Interior Painting in an Older Home
Have you ever imagined how the original
interior of your house looked? Perhaps you’d
like to redecorate according to your home’s
architectural style. Join Cleveland Restoration
Society professionals when they will speak
about historic home preservation at 6:30 pm
Tuesday, February 11 at Main Library.
This program is part of the Home
Preservation series cosponsored by Shaker
Library and the City of Shaker Heights
Landmark Commission. The presentation
will include a review of the trends in historic
painting and a look at different types of
paints and finishes, paying specific attention
to century and early 20th-century homes.
The program will also include a discussion of
the proper techniques for prepping surfaces,
repairing plaster, stripping woodwork, and
analyzing paint samples.
