opens its 19th season with a blessing for
a fruitful, prosperous season for farmers.
Geoff Baldwin will tell stories to young
and old alike during the Annual Sheep
Shearing – a big attraction for youngsters.
Other highlights include music by Cats on
Holiday, tasty tidbits prepared by the Chef
at the Market, fresh and local produce,
meat and dairy products from Ohio farms,
artisan breads and pastries, and crafts by
local artisans. The outdoor market is open
Saturdays through December 20.

history of the Shaker Rapid at the
Shaker Historical Society. Learn the
fascinating story of how the Rapid came
to be to its use today. Hays worked for the
Cleveland Transit System and the Greater
Cleveland Regional Transit Authority for
32 years, and has published books and
articles on trains and trolleys. Members
free. Non-members: $5 per person.
